“This was the wonderful thing about strangers. They were big blank pieces of paper, you could draw whatever you like on their impressionable surfaces.” –Janet Fitch.
This quote reminds me of people watching. We all do it, and there is something so relaxing about the act of just sitting and watching. We watch strangers pass by, and the only information we can gain about them is from their appearance and the way they carry themselves. With no preconceived hints on what they might be like, you immediately form an impression upon first glance. We create these characters in our head, and you’ll never know if your creations are right unless you meet that individual. It’s like a guessing game where the answer could always remain a mystery.
