Monday Quote: Strangers

“This was the wonderful thing about strangers. They were big blank pieces of paper, you could draw whatever you like on their impressionable surfaces.” –Janet Fitch.

This quote reminds me of people watching. We all do it, and there is something so relaxing about the act of just sitting and watching. We watch strangers pass by, and the only information we can gain about them is from their appearance and the way they carry themselves. With no preconceived hints on what they might be like, you immediately form an impression upon first glance. We create these characters in our head, and you’ll never know if your creations are right unless you meet that individual. It’s like a guessing game where the answer could always remain a mystery.

Love this since I am a BIG people watcher. I am not much of a talker and can be happy sitting alone or with someone and just watching all the people that pass by me. :)

I love watching people too!
Now that I’m living in a small town though, it’s a little creepy! haha!
Also, it’s hard to people watch when everyone knows who you are!

i love strangers, there is a hidden magic of just meeting someone new, just walking up to that person and saying “hi”
i do this a lot with new people at my school, its just so fun. and you walk up to them and you imagine how they are until that moment yoyu hear their voices for the first time. its such a bummer when they dont turn out as friendly or polite as you wish.

Obsessed with this quote, I feel the same way, walking the city streets, I make up their stories.
