It’s that time of year. Winter is in full effect, but in my mind I’m dreaming of lightweight summer fabrics, pastel shades, and wide open beaches. The fashion world is buzzing with new trends, and we’re longing to bare a bit more, show some skin, and lighten up a little bit — but the cold winter winds are telling us…not just yet. One way you can start to bring some spring into your look now, however, is with nail polish. We love wearing spring-like colors on our nails this time of year to bring a little bit more cheerfulness to our wardrobe. I asked our makeup artist Deanna Hagan to share her three favorite shades for Spring 2014, and guess what — it’s all about those sweet frenchie pinks!
Deanna’s favorite colors for spring are all different hues of pale pink, and the moment I put one on my nails it brightened my mood. Here are three shades to try this spring!
OPI’s Hopelessly in Love is almost nude, perfect to keep your nails looking fresh without too much color. I tried out OPI’s Privacy Please and loved the soft pink shade. And, if you’re feeling a bit more bold, MAC’s Saint Germain is a deeper shade of pink, with almost a purple hue to it.
