FP Me Stylist Of The Week: Jessehope

This week’s featured FP Me stylist just so happens to be our neighbor here in Philly!

As a loyal FP customer, Jessica is one of those girls who’s enthusiasm for the brand is a great reminder of just how inspiring the Free People community can be. Jessica had the opportunity to attend our FP Me second-year anniversary earlier this year and join in on the celebration. She consistently uploads inspiring photos to the style pic gallery, so it was about time that we learned a little bit more about this gal! Take a read below, and be sure to follow her on FP Me!

Where are you from? How has this shaped the person you are today?

I live in a suburb of Philadelphia, which has had a big impact on my life. As I kid, I have memories of both the beach and the big city. I was able to have the best of both worlds — the calm waves crashing on the shore, and the busy life of Philly. This has influenced my style; I love to incorporate a tomboy and boho look!

Can you tell us a little bit about the neighborhood you currently live in?

I live in a small town outside of the city. My house is set up on a hill surrounded by trees and overlooking a farm. I live right down the street from a state park, so I love getting out and riding my bike through the beautiful trails.

Where are your favorite spots to eat, shop, and explore in Philly?

To be honest I don’t eat out much, instead I love to hit up great farmers’ markets around town, bringing home my fresh goods to cook up a vegan meal. Of course on Walnut Street my favorite place to shop is Free People!  I love exploring downtown, finding some cool alleys to take FPMe shots. Although I am eager to go out and explore new spots!

What does a typical day in the life of Jesse look like?

You will find me in the morning blending up a smoothie for breakfast. I’ll then head out the door to take an aerobics class with my momma.  When I arrive back home, I start my schoolwork for the day. I do online school, so I’ll throw my pajamas right back on. Then I get to be creative, I might take a walk outside to refresh myself or express my ideas through re-decorating my room over and over again!

If you had to wear one outfit for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I am going to be really basic and say a good pair of jeans and a t-shirt. Oh and definitely Birkenstocks, they are the most comfortable shoes ever!

How was your experience at the FPMe 2nd year anniversary?

I hopped on the train to NYC, found my way down a little past Soho, at a quaint gallery. As I was walking up the steps, beautiful flowers hanging on the walls greeted me, the space was decorated top notch! I loved looking at all the artwork of the FPME shots. I was able to meet and talk with some awesome Free People ladies.

If you could have any job in the world, what would it be?

My dream job is to work for Free People. Possibly start working retail at the Walnut Street store, and eventually making my way to the home office down at the Navy Yard — throw some modeling in there, too!

What are three songs you can’t stop listening to?

I love a mix of different types of genres.

“Gravity” cover by Alex and Sierra, from Season 3 of The X Factor.

“Un-Thinkable (I’m Ready)” by City and Color

“I Will Fall” by the Nashville Cast

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given thus far in your life?

My mom often tells me, “I have been given a body, mind, and a spirit”

What does being ‘Free’ mean to you??

To me, being ‘Free’ means freedom! Being able to truly love myself, just like God created me. I have learned to embrace my flaws, and talents.  This has helped me to love others. I am able to appreciate the people that have been placed in my life.
