For part three in “The Kids Are Alright” series, meet skateboarder Rachelle Vinberg.
Celebrating the creative and inspiring girls of today, The Kids Are Alright reminds us that age doesn’t have to dictate our dreams and passions…
When I found 18-year-old Rachelle Vinberg’s instagram account, her skate skills topped off in cool-girl tomboy style made me do a double-take. Rachelle and her friends have entered, even now dominate a realm that, for the rest of us, seems terribly intimidating. Skateboarding has been a dude thing for as long as forever, and the confidence Rachelle has put forth to be a solid presence in (and out) of the skate park is wildly inspiring. She reminds us that no matter what obstacles stand in your way, do what you love and do it with passion. Get to know more about Rachelle below!

Why do you love it?
It’s something that I can do by myself as well as with friends. It offers a sense of community, too. Oh, and it’s also just really fun, haha.
