My question to you is, $6,000 aside, do you like them? Bleach Black, which is where I saw them, hates them. I’m not so sure about the ankle strap, or the yellow color really, but I love the purple and red trim going all around the edge. I love trim around the edges of shoes! What do you guys think?
I appreciate these two-tone lips created by Tom Pecheux for the Emanuel Ungaro show, but I’m not sure if I could pull this look off myself. I want to try it though! What do you guys think? Do you like the look? Would you wear it?

As someone who really enjoys watching people, this video just delights me! On a vacation in Tomakomai, Hokkaido, Japan, some people put their camera on the conveyor belt at a local sushi restaurant. I love watching everyone’s reactions as they notice (or don’t notice) the camera rolling by! It’s like a little seven minute vacation…

I am obsessed by the graphics on these antique German notgeld, or emergency money. Notgeld was printed by small municipalities and town banks in Germany from WWI through the 1920’s and 30’s. Though it was not legal currency, it was generally accepted, and actually proved useful due to the outrageous inflation in Germany at the time. These scans are all from Flickr user Iliazd, who has an awesome notgeld set with something like 900 different marks in it! If you love sweet graphics or history, or both, be sure to give it a browse.

I couldn’t resist posting this video of the Thames River in London in 1935! The film is an early color video; it used Gasparcolor, which is a very rare and old way of adding color to film. You can read a very detailed and admiring article about Gasparcolor here.
I find old color pictures and videos like this very intriguing, because one seldom gets a glimpse of the reality of life back then… it’s like a visual history lesson. If you are into stuff like this too, be sure to check out this old post about autochrome pictures.
For whatever reason, I was kind of surprised to see that Louis Vuitton has come out with this skateboard, which comes in its own little LV case. It’s cute though, right? I do like it, but at a price of $8,250, I don’t think I’ll be seeing one in person any time soon!
