Stay inspired and dont miss a thing. Weekly updates from BLDG 25
yesterday at the home office we had a visit from isby lubin, a very talented young lady who is designing her own line of tshirts, called LoLA, and she’s only in her sophomore year of high school!
all of isby’s shirts are handmade – she draws the designs, burns them into screens, dyes her own plain white shirts, mixes her own custom inks and prints the shirts herself. t love the print with the little family and dog! she says that this first collection was inspired by her family, specifically her brothers and how they helped her and are still helping her become the person she is today.
i love the colors she chooses! isby just moved from california to nyc where she is pursuing her dream of designing shirts.
awesome work, isby! we love your shirts!!

It’s all folked up in my mind!
My obsession for denim has increased to a maximum high, I’m lov’in everything from cute cut offs, straight legged ripped jeans and waistcoats. I have in mind ‘Penny Lane’ with an ‘I’m with the band’ attitude!
All I need for completion is a cute band and a 1070’s VW camper and I’m done!
good morning…we have a new changing room video for you! love all these looks…

as i told you last week, dan martensen was the photographer for our new february catalog. the photos were shot in california in two outdoor locations and in a studio. the first location was zuma beach, a large and popular beach in malibu, california that is known for its good surf. our producer took these pics while our team was shooting – i wish i was there now!
you can read more about the inspiration behind the catalog here – and stay tuned for more photos!
My heart sank this morning when i logged on to The Guardian to check on the local news back home in England.
Alexander McQueen had Passed away, I couldn’t help but grieve.
He has been a maverick to the English Fashion Scene and an Iconic one at that. With a label such as “The Bad Boy” which came from his invention of the ‘Bumster’ in the 90’s. This Designer was out there to make a statement and that he managed to do every season.
Everyone warmed to him and his cheeky, daring attitude to Fashion.
I admired him for years and he was often an Inspiration to me when i was studying Fashion/Textile Design.
His Spring/Summer 2010 collection blew me away- It was Fashion/Art at its best!
I will miss you Mr McQueen!!!

it’s about that time for the thursday poll! last week i asked about our cute printed bras and the winner was the printed rouched bralette with 32% of the vote! that was my favorite too. this week, everyone’s got valentine’s day on the brain, so i’m going to ask about some more intimately items – this time our cute undies! which ones do you like best?
the floral stud panty:
the dolphin lace panty:
the bright cheeky panty:
or the heat seal panty:
we thought it would be fun to give you a little glimpse into the world of some of our fp girls, so to start out, we followed one of our designers for a week! we watched as she designed a garment from start to finish, had some of her designs tested out on a fit model and presented concepts and finished items to our design team. i can’t show you too much yet, but here’s a preview of what you’ll see in the video (coming soon)! stay tuned!
the theme for the catalog is “raw,” heavily inspired by nature – flowers, feathers, shells and raw materials, as well as lace, crochet and fringe. the above beach shots were very inspirational, as well as the photographer dan martensen’s past shoots at the bonnaroo festival and with fashion muse erin wasson.
i think the end result is lovely!
