Musicians Wanted! Get Your Song Featured In A Free People Video

UPDATE: This post originally ran on July 29, 2012, but we have a bunch of videos in mind for the near future and are always searching for new artists to support!

One of the best parts of my job here at Free People is I get to make fun videos for the blog (like this and this). It’s been a hobby of mine for as long as I can remember, so this has been an absolute dream come true for me! We would love to start using these videos as a way to spread the word about up and coming artists… and that’s where you come in. If you’re a musician yourself, or know someone who is, submit a song to be used in a future Free People video! It’ll be shared with viewers all over the world. We love finding new artists and we can’t wait to share their music on our blog! We’re especially looking for music that’s fun, happy, and upbeat – and anything with a banjo or ukulele is a major plus! :)

Send your submission to, subject: Harmony.

We can’t wait to hear from you!!

More new music on the BLDG 25 blog :)

  2. Hi, I tried sending an email about this, but the email address provided didn’t work. Do you have another email?

  4. Hi, my name is Justine and I’m an singer/songwriter from Germany. I’m sending you my song „On The Road“ which is about love, adventure and living life to the fullest. I recorded the video a couple of weeks ago at a concert I played. Please note I’m wearing a free people dress :-) I always played and sang in bands, but I just recently started to work on a solo program. I love your blog, it’s so inspiring ♥

Here’s my song „On The Road“ I hope you like it ♥

  5. Hi! My name is Kendall Custer. I sent you an email with an original song. I am 19 and a singer/songwriter from Boerne, Texas but I currently live in LA. I’m so obsessed with your blog and this would be the coolest thing ever. This is truly an amazing project that you do for indie musicians, like myself! Here is a link to my original song called Fool:

Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy my music! xx

  6. Hi!

I just released my debut folk-pop album, entitled ‘Where We Wander’, and much of the lead track of our EP was inspired by the Free People clothing collection and lifestyle- romanticism, wanderlust, soul searching, independence, and the pursuit of a lifelong and meaningful sort of happiness. Inspired by broken lighters, beautiful boys, and summer nights spent in many a flowing Free People dress, the song combines folk, soul and pop elements that come together to feature ukelele, banjo, double bass, acoustic guitar and some good old harmonies.

You are my favorite clothing brand, and I’d be so honored if you guys checked out ‘Where We Wander’:
