I’ve always been a city person… I love the energy of being in a city, surrounded by people and lights and sounds. But every once in a while, it’s nice to go someplace and reconnect with nature. This past weekend, I joined a group of about ten friends and ventured up to a house in the Poconos for the weekend. Nestled deep in the woods, surrounded by trees and wildlife, we lived in our own little bubble for a few blissful days. With the mild winters we’ve had the last couple years in Philly, it felt like the first real taste of winter in a long time. A steady, light snow fell from the sky almost the entire weekend, like tiny particles of magic in the air, and deer frolicked just outside the windows. We wore pajamas all day long and kept warm by the fireplace, and before we knew it, it was back in our cars and back to the city and the real world.

It’s beautiful Julia…I live in the country and I love it ~ although every now and then I need a taste of the city too.
So weird! I live so close to here and it reminds me so much of home! I love doing winter photoshoots!
