Our amazing limited edition dresses required an equally beautiful lookbook. For this shoot, our team worked with photographer Joshua Allen and our talented makeup artist Deanna Hagan created six stunning looks to compliment each dress. The designer of each dress had a vision for how they wanted their creation to be styled, and the makeup and hair played a large role in that. Read More

The Pop-Up shops are at our Brentwood, CA and 5th Ave, NYC stores through Sunday and we held special preview parties at both stores last night. Here are some photos of the beautiful pop-up shops that our visual display team designed, the lovely ladies who attended the events, and of course the magical gowns!

Finally, we had a very special performance at our Brentwood store last night – Jade Castrinos performed solo for the very first time and she was amazing. Here’s one of the songs from her intimate set.

DIY Inspiration: Nail Art
Remember those rad newspaper nails I posted a few weeks back? Ever since then I find myself noticing nail art more and more… I’m terrible at the whole nail polish thing, because I bite my nails – it’s a habit I can’t seem to kick. But if I managed to get my nails to look like any of these, I don’t think I’d want to ruin them…

Green glitter a la Alexa Chung.
Space nails! so cool.

Cambridge Crafting Party Photo Diary!
Early Saturday morning I flew to Boston for our Holiday Crafting Party at Free People Cambridge. It was such an amazing day – we were blown away by the creativity of everyone who came to the event, and it was so great to just sit around a table, talking and crafting for a few hours! Here’s a photo diary of the day :)
It was an early flight…very early… but this sunrise made it ok.
Hello, Boston!
Our Cambridge store is located at Harvard Square, a really cute little spot just outside Boston where Harvard University is located.
I loved these friendship bracelets one of our fp girls was rocking.
And this sick tattoo another fp girl drew herself!
Sweet Meghan, our Harvard-area stores manager.
Printed Kimono twins!
One of our crafters, Nicole, blew me away with her style and creativity! She made the following braided hat band, necklace and bracelet. And her rad printed jacket is actually a men’s shirt that she found in Africa – amazing.
Fall layering done well by Kerrin.
Get the look: oversized sweater, tights, slouchy socks, buckle boots, light jacket and chunky scarf. Piece of cake!
Friendship bracelet making :)
So many amazing holiday ornaments were made!
One girl used the embroidery thread and tied a bunch of tiny bows that she glued to the inside of the ornament – soooo beautiful.
Wouldn’t it be a sweet gift to put a ring or something small inside a homemade ornament?!?
Such a wonderful day :) Thank you so much to everyone who came, and to our Cambridge FP girls for being so amazing!
Would you guys be interested in having an event like this in your area? Let us know, maybe we’ll come to your hood next!
