My alarm rings and my senses start to awaken. I press the snooze button until my mind has fully become aware that it’s time to wake up. It’s 6:00 am on a weekday. I’m laying in bed staring at the ceiling, thinking to myself, “Do I really want to get up and get ready? Maybe I should stay and have an extra hour in bed…” I’m talking about my yoga class that’s just down the street from me. My conscience sways towards the positives and I get up, get dressed in my yoga kit and head straight out the door. As I lock the door a slight sigh comes out of me.
The streets are softly bustling with the early workers and I start to feel more awake. During my yoga class I feel great. I’m making the most of my day. I chose to start the day with this positive light.
