Using fiber-optic technology, French company LumiGram has created a cloth that glows! It’s not glow-in-the-dark, rather it actually casts a soft light – each clothing item comes with a battery pack that will keep your clothes glowing for around 12 hours after each charge. Interesting, no? Check out all their styles here.

These awesome pictures (from Getty Images) were taken at the L’Oreal Color Trophy Final 2009, which took place earlier today. I want to have fuzzy baubles in my hair very much now! It looks so pretty! The makeup is really cool too. See the whole slideshow here on Seattlepi.com.

kate hudson wearing fp! yay!
One of our designers brought the picture below to my attention – it’s so fun to see people out and about wearing FP! It came from a Perez Hilton post about Kate’s new brunette hairdo – but check out her shirt! It’s our Printed Dreamweaver Tank in Purple Sun!
Ryanne, who designed the tank, was really psyched! And what’s extra cute is that she happens to be wearing that very tank, in that color, today! So random!
Here she is being happy and cute below!
1930 predicts fashion in 2000
This video is so funny and cool! It’s an old clip from the 1930’s, in which a few fashion designers predicted what they thought people would be wearing in the future! For being so far back as the 30’s, their predictions weren’t totally off base, I thought. Enjoy!

horse dress
Due in part to her fascination with the stage shows she saw as a girl in which the animals would come on stage with little outfits on, designer Hildegard Bergbauer, who usually designs for women, has started making Dirndl dresses for horses! The horse looks so cute in her dress! Hee hee! Check out Oddly Enough Blog for more.

Check out the shirt that Chictopia user Krly is wearing! Am I crazy or is that another illustration by Cassandra Rhodin? Great shirt either way…

You may recall when I posted this and other pieces by Cassandra Rhodin a while back…
To my delight, she recently did some pillowcases for H&M Home, and they look so awesome!
Boy I would love to have a set! They’re so pretty!

a ring? a bracelet? not quite
I feel like this piece by Delfina Delettrez Fendi, of Fendi, takes the two-finger ring craze and goes a step further. Isn’t it wild?! It’s so loud, but I don’t dislike it! I’d never have an occasion to wear something like that, but it looks cool on the model’s hand. What do you guys think? Interesting, no?
the newest chanel no. 5 video
Check out the new Chanel No. 5 video – it’s amazing! Plus, it features Audrey Tautou, who I like very much. Yay!

vintage free people!
Recently, one of our Facebook friends wrote in and asked if we had some photos of the Free People line from back in the 1980’s! Luckily for her, and for all of us, our Assistant Art Director Carrie was kind enough to put together this little video! It features items from the very beginning, when Urban Outfitters was just starting back in the 70’s and had one little shop in West Philadelphia, called The Free People’s Store. Then it moves on through the 1980’s to our inception as a separate brand, and evolves on to now! It’s really fun to see our development over time and look at all the vintage Free People styles! Enjoy!
