one of our fp girls is on a recruiting trip in nashville for our new store there (tentatively scheduled to open mid-november!) and shared some great photos for the blog. i have a soft spot for nashville, i really love it there…i think these photos really capture the atmosphere down there :)
our august catalog has some beautiful accessories. they all look so special and unique and complement the outfits perfectly. which of these is your favorite?
the urban outfitters interns organized a pop up shop over in building 543 today – they had apparel, accessories and stuff for the home at really low prices, sort of like the sample sales that we have for employees every once and a while. all proceeds are going to bike works. i think they did a great job and i scored some awesome finds! here are a few pics…
here are the items i picked up:
they match perfectly! unintentional :) i kindof want to wear the above four items together is that wierd?
i saw the black keys this past friday night at great plaza at penn’s landing in philly. i got there right as they went onstage and by then the venue was packed – my one complaint about this venue is that if you get there late, you will not be able to see the stage. it’s a great spot though, right on the river, and it was a beautiful night! the next show i’m going to at great plaza is my morning jacket and i will be sure to get there early for that one :)
the best part of the show for me was the beginning – they opened with “thickfreakness,” “girl is on my mind” and “10 a.m. automatic,” all awesome songs. they played a lot from their new album too and it sounded great!
this friday is local natives at first unitarian church yay!
“little drifters” is a project organized by booooooom and the vancouver sun, in which they asked people to gather pieces of driftwood, twigs, leaves, berries, dandelions, pine cones, feathers – pretty much anything that can be considered “natural” – and build a little boat using only these materials! they were then asked to take their boat to a body of water and take a picture of it. i LOVE them! such a creative idea and people put together the most beautiful little creations. here are some of my favorites…
the project was largely inspired by the work of lenny, who had this tip that i really liked for some reason:
“masts and sails don’t make them go faster, it just means you can see them for longer as they drift away.”
i’m all about slips right now. they’re light and airy for summer and perfect for carrying over into fall and winter as layering pieces. i have my eye on a couple of these… which one is your favorite?
the wanderlust festival is this weekend! three days of music and yoga in the gorgeous squaw valley, california …could it get any better than that? here’s a selection of items that i would bring:
