i saw a dancer

I saw a dancer…
Flickering across a field, pillow clouds floated above her head as blossomed buds flirted with her tiny, bare feet. Her body became illuminated by the fluorescent light of the shimmering moon.
She danced between the bark of the whispering trees, laughing and humming as nature continued to tickle her toes.
I watched her there, slowly growing calm until she laid her body down and gazed up into the rainbow sky, intertwining her tangled hair amidst the long stems of grass.
And the dancer shut her wild eyes, breathed in the beat of the whimsical rhythm; absorbing the essence of this mystical, magical night.

drifting, drifting along

little drifters” is a project organized by booooooom and the vancouver sun, in which they asked people to gather pieces of driftwood, twigs, leaves, berries, dandelions, pine cones, feathers – pretty much anything that can be considered “natural” – and build a little boat using only these materials! they were then asked to take their boat to a body of water and take a picture of it.  i LOVE them! such a creative idea and people put together the most beautiful little creations.  here are some of my favorites…

the project was largely inspired by the work of lenny, who had this tip that i really liked for some reason:

“masts and sails don’t make them go faster, it just means you can see them for longer as they drift away.”

wait a sec, is that BOB?

our beloved customer service manager is pictured on this year’s eagles season tickets! to show their appreciation for their biggest fans, the eagles put their photos on the tickets, saying “we reached out to you to share your eagles stories with us and we were touched by the depths of your passion for eagles football.  all ten of this year’s tickets feature fans with a unique perspective on what it means to be an eagles fan.”

bob’s story? “i painted E-A-G-L-E-S on my neighbor’s roof for the planes flying overhead. now did she know about it? well…”

i love it! bob will also get to be on the field at game one to start off the eagles chant :)
