The colour for fall for is deep and romantic and is perfect for your lips. The signature red lipstick we usually opt for takes a romantic and mysterious turn. Make your fall look more dramatic this season with a colour that’s not too far from a deep red bottle of wine with a plum tinge. We’ve taken it off the runways from fall 2012 shows like Nina Ricci and placed it right into our latest look book “Rad in Plaid”. It’s a great contrast to multiples of layers for fall. Here are our favorite plum red colours for your lips: Dolce and Gabbana in Ultra, Clarins Joli Rouge Lipstick in Plum, Nars lipstick in Scarlet Empress.

I love this look! If anyone is looking for a lipstick alternative, Clinique’s Almost Lipstick in Black Honey is AWESOME! It’s a really similar dark red hue, but it goes on sheer so you can build up the color. I’ve been using it for over a year and it’s one of my favorite lip products besides NARS lip pencils :)

Black Tie by Dior is also another wonderful choice colour for fall. It’s more on the plum side, and it also a colour that can be built on to make darker and more dramatic. Love it.

I saw a recent pix of Vanessa Hudgens rocking a berry lipstick and was instantly inspired. Even though I don’t wear lipstick, this is one thing I’m giving a try once I get my teeth whitened.

I recently purchased Rossetto by Rimmel (a cheaper alternative if you’re a penny pincher like moi). It’s a dark purple color, really vampy. I can’t wait to try it out. I’m with Liah – maybe after I get my teeth whitened a little!
