Let me start out by saying that this FP Me shoot has been one of my favorites to date.
We drove to Free People Highland Park last Friday morning to start the day and met all of the girls – 6 FP Me customers, and a few store girls to help out. From the minute they started outfitting their looks, I knew it was going to be a fun shoot. The girls were quickly bonding, and I felt like I became instant friends with all of them. It’s so nice to be welcomed to a new city with open arms and kind hearts, and everyone I met that day made us feel comfortable and at home. Fort Sheridan was our first stop. This gem of a place is tucked away in the suburbs of Chicago – just a little ways outside of the sprawling city, there are flower fields and sandy shores. Lake Michigan and colorful blooms created the perfect backdrop, and we spent the day smiling among the flowers.
Before heading back to the store, we grabbed a bite to eat at Miramar Bistro and chatted over a delicious meal. It was a magical day, and I can’t thank everyone enough who helped make this shoot possible. You all are so inspiring, and I’m so happy to have a handful of new friends in Chicago. Here’s how FP Me takes the Windy City!

Jana, these are beautiful! What camera do you use/ would you recommend for a beginning photographer?
Hi Eleanor! I used a Canon 60D, which Is a good camera for beginners, but a little more pricey. If you want to go with a cheaper option, a Canon Rebel is good, like the newest T5i!
That dress, is not the same one pictured on the website, are you sure this is the midnight rambler dress?
