The holidays bring with them a sense of nostalgia and romance that can only be explained through music — we’ve got the perfect playlist for those special moments!
When the snow starts to fall and the temperature is freezing we tend to get a little sentimental. There’s something about the holidays that draws me to romance the fleeting moments passed through nostalgia. Of the 5 senses, sound of music may be the strongest trigger. I remember the song I had listened to on repeat when I first fell in love a few months after I turned 17. “I’ll Be There” by the Jackson 5. This song still reminds me of the heightened intensity and beauty of teenage love. And that crazy late summer day in Brighton, UK years later ,when we were wild and free, we made plans to run away like Bonnie and Clyde and in the end resorted to getting tattoos. Some songs I write are sentimental records of nostalgic moments. When there is a lot of feeling inside me, whether it’s stemmed from joy, sadness or anything in between, it’s really the fullness of those feelings that allows the expression to come out swiftly. I’m excited for this holiday season, to curl up in a cozy sweater in front of a fireplace and read a lot of books, be full of warm fuzzy feelings and write away.

I actually loathe typical holiday songs – except for maybe Mariah Carey, lol – but these are all good alternatives to the usual cliché crap!
These are great songs♥♥
