Denim is such a lovely fabric, so easy, so versatile and so cool. Today the girls in the office were wearing denim to its fullest potential from cute overalls to ripped jeans and loose men shirts worn over easy dresses. Read More

Office Style: Neons and Brights
Fresh neons and loud brights have been popping all over the office lately. We love a good statement neon top and fun bracelets. We’re even scooping up neon computer cases. How do we like it styled? Office Style: Ginger
Ginger is our spicy FP girl. She loves body con dresses and sexy cutouts. We caught Ginger looks around the office, and couldn’t help but snap the shutter every time we saw the color red. The hue feels sexy and spot on Ginger. Read More
Office Style: Candy
For this week’s office style we caught hints of FP girl, Candy, around the office. She appears sweet as nectar – a woman as intricate as lace. Candy twirls in frilly dresses, and buttons up with lace. She’s a true lady who embraces her femininity. Don’t let all of the sweetness fool you, Candy is just as modern as the rest. Mixing in hints of neon, throwing on denim vests, and piling on rings are just some of the ways she’s keeping the fashion current.

Office Style: Meadow
Today, I went around the office and captured Meadow looks. Sadly, I think that the true, true Meadow comes out in warmer weather, so I didn’t find a ton of it on this rainy Philadelphia day. There were hints of her though! Even in the dreariest of conditions, we can’t help but pull out our bohemian touches – flowing bed jackets, paisley prints, lace detailing, and cozy knits among our favorites. Now, if only it were nice enough to lie outside in a sunny field…
Meadow loves intricate detailing like fine-touched eyelets. Pick up our Daisy Eyelet Button Down if you’re into the look.
When Meadow wears cardigans, she does them long and flowing. Get the look with our Ribbed Long Cashmere Cardigan and Jenny Floppy Hat.

The Voile Trapeze Slip is a must-have in any Meadow closet.
Office Style: Lou
This week’s office style is dedicated to one of my favorite FP girls: Lou. The awesome thing about Lou is that she’s rough and she’s edgy, but she never loses a touch of sexiness. The look is for a girl who’s on the run and active. She doesn’t have the time to be high maintenance, and can’t stand things that will restrict the adventure. She loves to steal items from her man – bulky tees and grungy tanks never looked better. Pants and shorts are her go-to, and there’s nothing like a good pair of boots or sneakers. Once in a while, she’ll mix it up on you and throw in that feminine touch to remind you that, after all, she is a lady.
There’s nothing like a good pair of faded sneakers, get the look with our Muddy Waters Sneaker.
The Love Bug Thermal and Buckle Ankle Back Boots paired with skinnies make a great laid back Lou look.

Office Style: Ladylike and Cool
There’s a distinct trend in fashion that has been extremely noticeable around the office these past few months. Employees are embracing their feminine side with a look marked by retro-inspired blouses, peter pan collars, and oxford shoes. The flouncy shirts of the 40’s and 50’s are getting their second life – coming back styled with the coolness of inspirations like Alexa Chung. The retro look couldn’t be more refined and sophisticated, yet adventurous and hip at the same time. We like to pair the lady-like retro pieces back to jumpers and floppy hats for a look that we love so much, we’ve launched a new FP Girl inspired by the trend. Stay tuned next week to learn all about her, but for now, here’s a bit of ladylike and cool inspiration from around the Free People home offices…

Office Style: Shorts vs. Dresses
We’re getting sick of pants. All winter long its pants, pants, pants. Now, in the name of fashion, we’re rebelling. We’re pulling on tights for an extra layer, and getting out stowed away women’s shorts, skirts and dresses. For the last week in January “vs.” office style, I want to know – which winter rebellion look do you like best? It’s the shorts vs. the dresses….

Office Style: Boy vs. Girl
This week in office style, it’s the boys vs. the girls. It’s amazing how much inspiration you can find getting passed back and forth between the two sexes. Who do you think rocks the styles best?? (boys on the left, girls on the right)
Office Style: American vs. British
In line with our catalog theme this month, I thought I would do some fun vs. themed office styles. Our home office has a surprisingly bountiful population of Brits who’ve crossed the big pond to work for Free People. They all have great style, so I thought that for this week I would do British vs. American style. I love them both, but tell us, which do you relate to more??
The Brits:
Welsh sisters! Both wearing an FP intimates top. Shop the updated version here.
The Hand Crochet Maxi Dress layered over an old FP beach style.

Office Style: The Family Jewels
Velvet and rich details are having their moment. Velvet is showing up in crushed jewel tones, and there’s no such thing as overload. We’re piling it on – shoes, skirts, dresses – you name it. The look is regal and rich especially when it’s paired back to metallics and reflective embelishment. We’re buying it (pun intended,) these rich colors, precious metals, and lush fabric are everywhere. I have the office style photos to prove it.
Her feet are FP-ed out in the Petty Leopard Ankle Boot and Mesh Dot Ankle Sock.
It’s the Slouchy Velvet Blazer! Love the touch of something special it gives this outfit.
