i adore these globes by ImagineNations! they take vintage globes and decoupage artwork onto them, and they also do custom commissions. what a rad idea. i would love a patchwork globe… hint hint display team!
Our wholesale team at Coterie NYC
The Free People Wholesale team is at Coterie in NYC, it’s a massive trade show filled with exciting labels. Department stores such as Saks, Harvey Nicholas and many other cute little boutiques and department stores from around the world visit to see what labels they would like to buy and showcase.
The wholesale team set up a beautiful booth accessorized with ipads so customers can view our digital Fp lifestyle and beautiful fashion forward lookbooks. Whilst I was there, I snapped the style of our girls. Don’t they look adorable!?
Our Creative Director made the necklace to the right!
vintage tees are here!
if there was one article of vintage women’s clothing i was going to collect, it would be vintage tshirts. i love them and can never get enough… each one is a little piece of history. the ones i own each have a story behind them that makes them incredibly special… a bar in somer’s point NJ where my parents used to hang out, a tom petty shirt from his “last dance with mary jane” tour that a boyfriend gave to me and is full of holes , a pink floyd tee i found in brooklyn, and my favorite- and perhaps the most random – a tshirt my uncle picked up in wyoming years ago that ended up in my mom’s possession, and now mine.
so when i found out we’d be selling vintage t-shirts as part of our vintage loves collection, you can imagine how excited i was. our vintage buyer did an amazing job hand picking these rare and perfectly broken in tshirts… i’ll admit it, i bought two the moment they went on sale… check them all out here!
you should also check out our homepage right now, it’s pretty neat :)

lisa congdon
i’m in love with lisa congdon’s artwork right now…the bold colors she uses, her amazing animal portraits, and that little owl that is just so stinking cute…i would love to have a whole bunch of her paintings all hung on a wall together.
desk space
i could spend hours wandering around our building checking out peoples’ desks… each one is like a window into who that person is – what they love and choose to surround themselves with and the things that inspire them when they’re creating. here are just a few of the amazing desk spaces from around the office…
feng shui at work
our vintage buyer brought an article over to jemma about how to feng shui your desk at work, and i immediately decided my desk needed a makeover. my feng shui was all wrong… and with the beautiful weather we’re having today it felt like a good time to do some spring cleaning!
(the article is from whole living magazine)
here’s what my workspace looked like before – a cluttered mess!
to feng shui my desk i followed the instructions above as well as i could with what i have here at work. i put my plant, dreamcatcher and buddha figurine in the back left (or top left) area, with a photo of the sunset over the pacific in the background to make it feel as zen as possible. the bottom left area has a collage of photos from my latest trip, just kids, “music we like” from amoeba (a great music reference), my little journal and peaceful accents of blue. at the top right i have photos of loved ones and notes and cards from friends at work, and at the bottom right i hung some scraps of fabric to inspire creativity.
here’s the end result:
it may not look much different but it sure feels better! now i just need to feng shui my apartment…
office style
everyone looks so lovely in the office today! i noticed a theme of pretty vintage and flowy dresses over leggings with socks and sandals or ankle boots.
i also really loved this tshirt with the pink bra peeking out!
and this jewelry…
and toby’s new spring tie :)
