Sometimes, you just gotta blast some tunes and sweat it out. No time is that more true than in the dead of winter.
On a recent blustery, grey winter’s day, Lithe Method opened their doors to those in need of a little warmth through movement. Candles flickered amid vibrant fuchsia blooms, casting their warm glow throughout the bright and inviting space, and as bare branches crackled outside against the frigid chill, Free People girls from across the city descended upon the studio with one goal in mind: to move.
After guests slipped their heavy winter boots off at the door, they each chose a space to lay their mat, and as the beats provided by DJ SYLO floated through the air, Lithe founder Lauren lead the first group in a warm up.
Founded in Philly, Lithe was created by Lauren, a former cheerleader, dancer, and Pilates instructor as a way to infuse efficient, creative workouts, with actual fun. As she lead the first group through their warm up, nervous smiles were exchanged with unsure glances, but soon an infectious energy spread throughout the room, and each member of the group found their strength. Quickly switching from isolated moves to those with more intensity, Lauren’s excitement and passion for the method emboldened everyone in the class to truly commit to the day’s mission to sweat.
And like every good workout, it was followed by some delicious and healthy snacks. Pure Fare brought in the goods, from refreshing salads to perfectly sweet avocado-chocolate cookies.
Soon it was time for class number two, lead this time our very own FP girl and Lithe instructor Meghan. Moving to the pulsating music, the energy was high as the afternoon sun cast its glow through the large windows.
On a cold January day, there’s nothing quite so renewing as warming the body through movement and music. As guests stepped from the cozy Lithe studios onto the frigid Philly streets, energized and happy, the day felt that much warmer after an afternoon of strength, wellness and unity.
Special thanks to:
Lithe Method for welcoming us into their studios for the day.
Lauren and Meghan for leading the classes with their infectious energy and enthusiasm.
DJ SYLO for the energizing music.
Pure Fare for the incredible food.

I haven’t seen anything like this before – how cool! Definitely hasn’t made its way down to Atlanta yet to my knowledge, but when it does I’m going to check it out!
