Sarah Rose Lane -Mar 26, 2015, 10:42AM
I spend close to half of my nights at my boyfriends house. I'm always on the go to work and school. I did not want to compromise my skin by not fully emerging in the new skin regimen I have adopted over this last year. I've slowly but surely become almost 100% natural, and almost all my goodies are homemade products from this free people blog. Thankfully it's been a pretty smooth transition for me and my skin has never ever been this healthy. I have found pretty simple ways to carry all my things with me all the time, in addition to the pretty glass bottles that live in my cabinets. Two things I could not live without every day are my "toner/astringent" that's 1/2 witch hazel 1/2 rose water, and my "moisturizer" jojoba oil with some vitamin E and an AMAZING Doterra essential oil blend for clear skin. My latest project is attempting to be as trash free as possible and reuse all I can. It's fun to get creative with it. So the perfect containers to hold on to are the little essential oil bottles!!!! They are usually like 1 1/2" tall and are easy in a make up bag or purse. I carry a tiny purse and I have one bottle that used to hold lavender that now (after running through the dishwasher a couple times) holds my jojoba/moisturizer blend. Another holds my toner. Another smaller one has my iron supplements that are important for me to take so I like to keep them on me. Just wanted to share this!! I've had fun bring creative with how to travel with all my. Other new natural and homemade options too. A great site it Hope this is helpful. :)

There is something called fractionated coconut oil. That will not go solid, it just stays melted. Maybe you coud try that?

What a beautiful room, seriously having home envy right now hahaa, I had to live in a...cosy space during my last year of uni and I had to get rid of so much stuff - it's ridiculous how much "stuff" I'd accumulated. Felt nice to get rid of the things that didn't mean much to me and keep all those that did :) Meg, Optical Intake

Congrats babe, your place looks amazing! Of course you decorated it oh so well. I've lived in and out of so many apartments, and moving back to San Francisco was a bit of a struggle at first. My latter years in college, I had a massive bedroom with a walk in closet big enough to rent! When I decided to move back here last year, I knew I would have to make some sacrifices since the housing market changed SO much. (it's nuts!) SO, I ended up getting LUCKY and moving into a super cozy apartment in Noe Valley. My room is tiny (theres just a foot or two between my bed and dresser), but I couldn't be happier. What I've found is, it's more about the vibe overall. The kitchen, bathroom, neighborhood, and living room all make me happy. Plus, my room opens to a deck and backyard! I'm much happier than I was before, and am having a fun time fitting the right decor into the right little areas. It's an adventure always. We've got this! :-) xx

As an Italian girl, food has always been a huge part of my life, as well as source of inspiration of my everyday existence. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners are nor just "eating time", but a precious moment of sharing and joy, whether alone or with your loved ones. I will always thank my roots for transmitting to me these important routines that make my daily meals moments of contemplation, mindful eating and sharing.

Hi FreePeople!! I am not sure if I broke the rules by making pic collages for my inspiration pics.. When I saw "photo" and also some of my pics in my collage I found on Instagram from the sponsors... So are collages not a "photo"... and Bc the pics for inspiration I didn't take them myself? Thanks in advance! -April :)
beatriz -Mar 26, 2015, 5:10AM
hi FP -- i think by "sur la sol" you mean "under the sun," yes? in that case in Spanish it would be "bajo el sol." "sur" means "south" in Spanish, not "under/below" as it does in French and "sol" is masculine, not feminine. i don't mean to be pretentious! just seeing that would make any Spanish-speaker cringe...i honestly didn't even understand it when the e-mail about the contest first arrived in my inbox...
