I've been growing lavendar for years. It is one of those flowers that seems to take care of itself. All you need is a couple of small starter plants and you will have lots of lavendar for years. They do need a lot of room. After I harvest my lavendar and dry it out, I take the dried buds, sprinkle them all over my carpets and then ground them into the carpet with my feet. Then I vaccuum them up and my house smells fantastic. I also make soap with the dried buds and goats milk. No more itchy skin. And who needs those environmentally unfriendly plastic bows on a gift? I tie a small bunch of lavendar on instead. The possibilities are endless.

Must try!!! I personally think lavender is the most versatile of all essential oils. It's been used for many purposes since ancient times. Thanks for sharing your recipe =)

I just happen to stumble on a picture of this young lady by chance and it led me to here, but I tell you what... Now I literally SEE why God in his vast wisdom created the first woman. Man needed a suitable partner and that is what we have indeed! AS a man, seeing Jasmine's pictures actually make my blood pressure drop (in a very good way). Here's a model with a pretty name to match her looks.

Just in case readers don't know, it is illegal to possess a hawk feather. (With very few exceptions made for native americans) All birds of prey and migratory birds are protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. And while I enjoy crystals as much as the next woman, we need to remember what has to happen for us to possess them. Mining can be terribly damaging to the earth. Some mines employ a child labor force. I'd love to see if this crystal healer attempts to be mindful of where her crystals for her "showroom" come from.

Holy Moly, no average human being with a job & family can spend their precious little free time doing all this. This sounds like a rich person's sad life. Toss those rocks in the garden where they belong and get out and live!!!

I love this post! There are so many times when I feel like I need to reset, but I do not take the action like you did to actually get away. I know that I need to plan a hiking, or camping trip to reset my mind and go away for awhile.

Love this post. We all need to recognize when we need this. It does work wonders to runaway from home once in awhile.

I also suffer from migraines that are debilitating. Sometimes few and far between and other times they come and last for weeks. I became afraid, "will I get a migraine today?" Or "how long will this one last?" They start with aura, then a sharp lightning strike pains through my head, a prickly sensation throughout the scalp, and a sensation that sounds are much too loud. I went to a neurologist when they became constant like this and she told me to take 400 riboflavin, 400 magnesium and COQ10. I was also directed to take daily walks in fresh air (for blood flow and stress relief), sleep on a schedule so it's the same every day, eat small amounts frequently throughout the day, and drink at least 64oz of WATER a day, not including juices or soups into my quota. It has helped immensely.

Hi! I have been fighting migraines for a while now and have yet to find the perfect solution but I have had some improvement. I have found that minimizing my stress is the biggest factor (easier said than done). I also found that my biggest triggers are estrogen (I no longer use birth control), chocolate, caffeine, and cheese. My first neurologist recommended the book Heal Your Headache. It was very helpful and educating when I first read it 2 years ago. I plan on reading it again soon. Migraines are different for everyone and best of luck at finding the solution to yours!
