Only in hindsight did we realize that the sun hadn’t graced us on Newport Beach.
But a sleepy Mother Nature didn’t deter over 100 of our favorite SoCal customers and their friends to join in the Newport Dunes festivities, the last of six FP events taking place worldwide to celebrate movement within our community.
Our morning began with a session hosted by SUP (short for Stand-Up Paddleboard) Yoga’s Kylan Fischer. All 43 of the surfboards provided were quickly claimed as our spirited guests strapped in and, with paddles in hand, ventured onto the calm bay waters.
DJ HyFi spun a web of ambiance over us as we followed Kylan’s lead for an hour’s worth of stretching floating atop the water. The degree of balance and patience our guests exhibited was impressive, to say the least! With our feet back in the sand, food blogger Michelle Yam transformed an impressive bounty of fruit and vegetables from Melissa’s Produce into satiating – and delicious – smoothies. The FP Community mingled, took photos among the succulents and rich color and awaited their afternoon warm-up/cool-down.
FP Movement events present a unique opportunity to connect with one another and hopefully learn some wonderful and unexpected things about the community as well as ourselves. For this one in particular, it was a true joy to unite in movement and just feel good. Hope to catch you at the next one!
Special thanks to:
… and YOU!!
