I first heard about artist Teagan White a while back when one of my coworkers had the print below hanging at her desk. I was just recently checking out her page on Society6 and was so inspired by her beautiful work. I love the incorporation of nature in all aspects of her work and the washed out colors she uses. A lot of her work has a great autumnal feel, which is maybe why I am so drawn to it right now! Read More
Saturday Do: Send A Love Note
Whenever I receive a little cute note from someone, my heart glows; it leaves traces of someone’s thoughts that then get soaked into your soul. I treasure all the little notes people give me, whether it’s something simple like “I came by your desk but you weren’t there”, or something more intense that came from your lover. Read More
Cute, Creative, And Cool: Little Free Libraries
This morning I came across something so adorable and inspiring, it had to be shared. It also involves reading, and the bookworm in me got really excited. Little Free Library is a free book exchange carried on through hundreds of cute, tiny libraries nationwide. I love the idea of book exchange. While Kindles and other tablet devices are making reading convenient (and green!), I still love the romance of used books, particularly when they are shared. You can learn more about where to find one of these charming exchanges near you, or even better how to start your own, by visiting the Little Free Library website. (BoingBoing)

Nothing’s Impossible: The Invisible Bicycle Helmet
Some of the world’s best creations were born out of ideas deemed impossible. Nothing has reminded me more of this lately than the video above. Two design students, Anna and Terese, seem to have not only made the impossible possible, but they’ve also made a giant leap forward in urban cycling safety. Watch until the end, and find yourself more inspired than you’ve been in months. If that’s, you know, possible. (BuzzFeed)
Artist We Love: Collages By Matt Wisniewski
It wasn’t until after I had saved a couple of his images in my inspiration folder that I realized they were by the same artist, Matt Wisniewski. He uses found images to create collages that look like a cross between double exposure photography and watercolor painting. I’m in love! I think his work would look perfect in a room with all-white decor; I’m envisioning a bedroom with white walls, white bedding, shaggy white carpet and nothing else on the walls but one of these collages – wouldn’t that be a soothing environment to wake up in each morning? Monday Quote: Meant To Shine
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? We are all meant to shine, as children do. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.”
-Marianne Williamson
