monday quote

Quote by Albert Camus.

Brianne -Oct 28, 2012, 6:07PM
I always seem to be catching myself thinking too much about the meaning of life and how to find my own happiness. Then i come across quotes like these and i bring myself back to where i need to be! I always find quotes that speak to me and give me wisdom that give me a sense of hope that i am doing something right. You will find happiness in the things that make you happy!
lea -Oct 11, 2012, 8:13AM
Very deep. I agree, don't waste your life discovering what life is. Realize that life is precious. Every minute your wasting is gone and becomes your history's past. Life has made you already happy by providing you love, hope, and faith. However, love is the greatest one of them all. The most unhappiest thing in life is when you aren't being loved by someone special in your life. Not only meaning by your boyfriend or girlfriend but by also your parents, family members, or friends.

Post image for Inside The Artist Studio: Lily Stockman

Last week I had the pleasure of visiting artist Lily Stockman in her New York City studio, located in an old building on NYU’s campus the East Village. It was a grey, overcast day, but I found myself comfortably ensconced in her beautifully lit space with Ethiopian piano music playing, a cup of hot tea in my hands, and so much beauty to look at. I couldn’t have asked for a more lovely way to start the day than spending it there, talking to her about art, Joshua Tree, India, blogging and more. I absolutely love talking to artists – there is something so fascinating about the way their minds work, and the stories behind their work. There is always so much more than meets the eye. Post image for 4 Ways To Beat Hard Water Hair

UPDATE: This post originally ran August 1, 2012, but we wanted to share these helpful tips with you again! As the weather gets colder and drier, you may notice your hair drying out along with it, so make sure you follow these tips if you’re a victim of hard water hair!

When I first moved to Philadelphia, I anticipated a lot of things. I was ready to start a completely new life; to start my first “real” job; to move into an apartment on my own; to make an entirely new group of friends. But there was one thing for which I wasn’t prepared:  hard water. Read more »

To soften hard water, we need reverse osmosis system or a water softener. I have bought a RO system to remove hard minerals in the water. The link below may help: http://wisemommy.net/best-reverse-osmosis-system-reviews/

Just wanted to chime in that I found a new source of lovely henna which also sells moisturizing shampoo bars, oils and other natural hair care products. I am a fan of henna for 20 years which is also a bit drying on hair but also, for me, wonderful. I recently moved to a hard water remote area and glad to find this new site. The product prices are reasonable and shipping fast. They also have inexpensive sample sizes to try. I am trying out. The site explains products for different needs like dry hair. I'm trying the Moroccan Clay shampoo bar, and rich Cocoveda Shampoo bar. both are lovely and natural smelling. Also a facial moisturizer that is spectacular called ucuuba body butter. It's rich but not greasy and smells of mandarin and vanilla. site is www.hennasooq.com I was a Lush fan for years and still like some things but find they products too perfumy and was devastated to learn they have SFLs in their shampoos :( felt cheated. Glad for this new online shop with I think higher quality then Lush for much less money. Thanks for the tips here about vinegar rinse and baking soda to clarify and coconut/argan oil to moisturize. Going to add those to my regime.
