We’re almost halfway through December (eek!) and I hope that you’re all well into the spirit of the season… hanging lights by day, drinking hot chocolate (this kind) by night, and scheming up creative gifts for those extra-deserving people in your lives. Here on the west coast, our winter is mild. We become frigid little beings at a mere 35 degrees… a surely welcomed temperature for those of you braving the Midwest and beyond. We do have to layer, yes… but our layers are a bit lighter and more forgiving. Down parkas and ear muffs aren’t a necessity, though we do love escaping somewhere/anywhere they are (grass is always greener syndrome?). I can always appreciate a girl in clogs. These wooden-soled shoes are so… funky, which is a word I never really find myself using, but when it comes to clogs I just can’t help it.
Today I have another beautiful batch of behind the scenes images from our December short film and catalog shoot in Maine. I can’t get enough of these photos…this time of year, as the first flakes of snow blanket the ground around us and evenings get darker and darker, I find myself longing for a cozy cabin to retreat to. I look at these images and dream of shaggy carpets, the crackling of a flame in a fireplace, frosted windowpanes, and someone to snuggle up with and wait out the winter. Read More
