Post image for Store Style for Fall

A great batch of photos from our various store gals showing looks they love for fall!

Love this look of the extreme velvet flares worn with the 2-pocket sheer crop top over the glitter mesh layering top.

The americana sweater jumper looks so cute with the printed thermal cropped bralette, fringe and feather hair clip and textured tall sock.

store-style

I love how she dressed up the velvet overalls with the pretty gini lace top and leopard clutch.

store-style

Everything about this look rocks! The lace bell bottom, the lovebug thermal layered over the floral burnout henley, the chainmail bib necklace and the hair!

store-style

Perfect fall look: the gypsy lover maxi skirt, graphic henley, slouchy velvet blazer and brit boot (and Dillinger!).

store-style

We love layering with the maxi robe! Pictured is the moon duster maxi worn over the swiss dot seamless slip with a scarf.

store-style

A great boho look: the extreme vintage flare, pleated lace trim crop top and zigzag print turban.

store-style

Or for a chillier day, the extreme vintage flare with the cannaregio mesh top, floral woven pullover and velvet turban.

store-style

You can wear a sleeveless dress in fall! Just add a layering top like the dotted lace tee underneath! Looks extra cute with the knitted ranger hat.

store-style

You can never have too many layers! The lovebug thermal, crochet back plaid button-down, denim shirt, margarita texture scarf, vegan leather shorts, floral tight and hacienda lace-up boot.

store-style

The color of this cashmere shrug cardigan is gorgeous! Looks lovely with the extreme velvet flares.

store-style

This is such a cute grunge look! The lace bell bottoms, graphic muscle tee and plaid button-down.

store-style

And last but not least, give your bodycon a little twist by adding a pop of color underneath! Pictured: the fp spun velvet leaf dress, seamless slip, brit boot and boucle textured jacket (my new love – i just bought it!).

You all look amazing ladies!

Wow Shelby! You are spot on with that! I was just there last week shopping for my daughter and those girls in there were snobby and stuck up. They were closing in 20 minutes and they made me feel unwanted in the store, as if I was keeping them from closing! SO RUDE!!! Maybe I should try their other stores next time.
Shelby -Dec 20, 2011, 2:53AM
Im sorry to say this but i will no longer be shopping at the studio city location because of how rude everyone is that works here, I love freepeoples clothing but I would rather drive to woodlandhills even if i live in studio city. All the girls that work at studio city make people feel uncomfortable and not helpful. I hope they hire some nice people soon because I wont shop there till they get a new staff, including new manager. I have never felt so uncomfortable shopping.

Post image for Guest Post: DIY Fishtail Maxi

The lovely and creative Geneva of A Pair and a Spare contributed this amazing guest post for our blog!

Fishtail skirts have dominated the recent SS12 runways and are oh so sexy. What better way to jazz up a thrifted skirt than by creating your own fishtail style? Follow my steps below, it’s incredibly simple!

You need:

A thrifted skirt (I picked one with some subtle pleating)
A pair of scissors
needle and thread
an iron.

How to:

1. Put your skirt on and mark where you want the front, and shortest, part of the skirt to finish.

2. Take the skirt off and fold in it half down the front of the skirt – so rather than the back and front lying against each other, it’s the two sides that face each other – the way you might fold trousers before you put them on a coat hanger. Make sure the fold is directly in the middle of the front of the skirt.

3. Lay the skirt on the floor and cut out the front of the skirt – you want a straight line for the first 30cm or so to create the mini part of the skirt, then tapering down to the back and bottom of the skirt.

apairasparediyfishtailskirt2

4. Try the skirt on to see if the cut out is big enough. I did this a few times, cutting more away to suit what I wanted it to look like. It’s always best to take this part slowly and do small amounts at a time.

5. Once you have a cut out that you like, fold over the edge of the skirt about 1cm and iron. You may want to double over twice but my skirt was made out of a fabric that didn’t fray too badly so once was enough.

apairasparediyfishtailskirt3

6. Sew a small stitch all the way around the hem.

apairasparediyfishtailskirt4

7. Iron flat again.

apairasparediyfishtailskirt5

Voila! All done.

apairasparediyfishtailskirt8

Now wasn’t that simple? I absolutely love how this style moves around when you walk! Now that I’ve tested the process I’m going to make a few different coloured versions too.

apairasparediyfishtailskirt6

Amazing!! thank you so much Geneva!

Read on to find the vocabulary you will need and links to sites with house plans. Cabinetry alone accounts for close to 50% of the total cost of the project - eating up half of your budget before you even blink. Investment in flooring can be really useful as it would enhance the lifespan of your floor.

Sensors in doctor's surgical gloves can help prevent accidents or assist a surgical procedure. When you get in touch with them, they will want to understand what size panel (wattage) you have and what the voltage is. A bigger fridge costs more to run, especially if it's mostly empty (as more cold air escapes when you open it) so if you live alone, a fridge which is only a quarter full is costing you too much money to run.

Hi! So a bit of a random question for anyone who might know, but I absolutely ADORE Free People Clothing and have wanted to work with you for several years now. I am represented under a modeling agency in Kansas City, MO. however since my agent has never worked with FP before I am taking it upon myself to try and get information as to how to become a FP model.... I know you have specific agencies you work with but I was hoping there might be a contact I could get hold of for an audition? or perhaps open auditions somewhere???? I'm 5'9" and size 2 and quite frankly look a bit like some of your models haha. Does anyone know of who to contact for a FP modeling audition (Or who to have our agent contact if they haven't worked with FP in the past?) Thank you thank you thank you -Anna :)
