Post image for 5 Ways To Enjoy The Sun In The Winter

Well, it’s mid-February. For those of us in the northern hemisphere, that means it’s the dead of winter. And here in Philly, that means it’s cold, cold, cold. We know spring is coming, but there isn’t a sign of it yet. Read more »

I hope you all are staying warm on the east coast! It's chilly here in california (sigh, a mere 55 degrees!) but I do miss the snow and the beauty in the way it photographs! Xx, Tiffany { http://www.sunshinedaydreamphotography.com/ }
balletslippers -Feb 17, 2014, 3:19PM
Thanks for sharing these ideas. I'm lucky, because on a sunny day I get sun on my couch in the afternoon. Other than that, my mom, sister and I like to bundle up with a bunch of blankets and a warm jacket on a not so freezing day, get something hot to drink and just spend half an hour or so sitting in the garden. The warmer it gets towards spring, the less layers are needed :-)

Post image for The Healing Power Of Olive Leaf

We’re all well aware of the oil produced by olive fruits and all of the health and beauty benefits it has — it’s a healthy fat that’s believed to help prevent obesity, heart disease, and cancer to name a few, and it does wonders in the world of moisturizing skin and hair. You can even use it in oil pulling to detoxify your body. But there’s something else the olive plant has to offer — something huge – and it’s all about the leaf. Read more »

I just did a quick lit review on PubMed and found lots of good research for olive leaf extract! I'm going to double check with my docs first, but am excited to try. Definitely glad you recommend folks ask their doctors- I had wanted to try kelp extract, but my doctor advised against it. Hopefully this will be a go! :)
Beka -Feb 17, 2014, 1:05PM
I take olive leaf extract, oil of oregano, & evening primrose oil everyday to help with my allergies & rosacea. It works wonders!

i love these posts ! a couple of years ago i went to this energy cleansing place to cleanse my chakras. The woman told me my throat chakra was the most congested and blocked. At the time it was so weird bc I had always had trouble speaking up or expressing myself !

I've been exploring my creativity lately through several different mediums; simultaneously, I've been working on healing my thyroid (hypo) with supplements and sarvangasana. I didn't really mean for both of these to happen at the same time, but it's interesting that they did. Lately I've been feeling much more energetic and like I'm busting at the seams with creativity. I'm reveling in the joy of it all :) I've also had a strong desire to begin writing and expressing my thoughts and feelings recently. I love everything you write Kristin, thank you!

I always think about that! What if they had the story of a lesbian couple? Free People? Freedom to express sexuality? I can see politically how the company would not want to loose more conservative clientele, but true free people lovers I'm sure would love it!
