I also like to try different food items all the time. From my experience, we have to eat a lot in the morning. Lot in sense protein wise. Protein is the key element which keeps us running all the time. Eating fresh food in the morning is also a good thing.

Love the recipes! You have really great ideas. I normally just take some fruits and put them in the bag - really quick breakfast preparation :) - and then eat them on my way to work or when I'm already in the office. If I have more time then I cook something evenig before - like rice pudding or protein pancakes. Breakfast is for me also very important. I just enjoy Long breakfasts on sunday Mornings :) xoxo

I've struggled in the past with it not focusing on the correct area so I'll try that tip out. I should buy a remote too. Great, helpful post.

The first thing I noticed were the diet cokes too! So bad for you :( Love all the outfits though, & especially adore the eyeball clutch in the last outfit. The wild outfits are usually my favorite to stalk :)

selfies are an excellent form of self-confidence, and just one like can totally boost someone's confidence! it's a way of saying to the world, "hey, i'm not afraid of putting myself out there and I love myself the way I am." most people think they're silly or vain, but I say that they are the greatest picture of you, in your best moments, are the highest peaks of your life. it's not just a trend, it's everlasting beauty. xoxo, Laurel

The first selfies I remember were back in the 70's /80''s when people would hold their Polaroid toward them w/outstretched arms & snap single or group pics!!! This went on all the time!!! Those were the first 'on the run ' selfies!! I have a stack of them w/ my cat !!!!!!

Sooo true!
Susan -Sep 08, 2014, 2:05PM
there's so much truth to that! I find that sometimes the happiest surprises result in our dreams not turning out exactly as we have envisioned them but much different while still retaining the true essence of what we wish for....sometimes our spirit has the ideal solution that our ego does not or can not see.... Miann, I saw you on Tara's blog a few months ago and clicked over to your website from there. It was the middle of winter in Australia and I was a mum of four in Newcastle reading about this amazing surfy woman from Noosa. I was in awe of you and I decided that day that I would re-learn (I gave up as a teenager - did the same angsty thing) this summer. I have been psyching myself up since then, and next week we go away to the mid-North coast and I am on it! Then I read this and realised you haven't been surfing since you were a grom. That you also rediscovered your love for the surf as an adult, wow, mind blown. AND even more hope given. Yes to it starting as an intention, yes to it being a feeling that settles my soul! Thank you so much for this post. I know I can do this, and you doing it too gives me a little harder push that it really is going to be okay! x

Post image for Gnocchi di Zucca Recipe

In Italy, the food grows plentifully. On a recent trip to a Tuscan villa, we found ourselves surrounded with figs, olives, cantaloupe, oranges, and herbs for the taking. Giant acorn squash grew in a patch on the terraced hillside next to our home; we were able to pick one and incorporate it into many meals. One of my personal favorites evolved into an evening long procession of gnocchi. Read more »
