Post image for Saturday DO: Be Less Freaked Out By Wheatgrass

Ok, so this isn’t the most appetizing item to add to your diet, at least from a visual standpoint. Personally, I’ve always been a little freaked out by wheatgrass. I mean, it’s grass, right? It’s what I lay on in sunny weather with a good book and a tall glass of iced tea. It isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when I think of my health. But it totally should be. Read More

This article reminds me of how my late mom really loved this item-the wheat grass. We never ran out of this in our kitchen. It made our dish really tasty.

It would be great to do a post about making your own wheatgrass or even where to buy it online that is affordable but high quality.

Post image for Destination: Essaouira, Morocco

Morocco has been a destination on my wish list ever since I started to stalk the magnificent riads on the Essaouira coast. Essaouira has always intrigued me – it’s a late-18th-century fortified town, constructed according to the principles of contemporary European military architecture. It’s a charming town that I would one day love to visit.

Lilyanna -Jun 30, 2012, 6:01PM
I've been there! I studied for a school year in Morocco and it was amazing! Essaouira was my favorite town in Morocco by far! Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, and Cat Stevens were also mesmerized by Essaouira and spent a lot of time there. So many cool rastas roam the streets and it has such a laid-back vibe! I'd definitely recommend going there. Also check out Chefchaouen, Morocco!

Post image for Shoe Style: Western Boots

If you follow us on twitter, you know that today is a little thing called “Tuesday Shoesday” – a celebration of awesome shoe style :) With that in mind, today I thought I’d highlight some of our newest boots that are right up my alley! We love western style boots right now – they are perfect to take your basic jeans and tee up a notch, adding a little something cool and special to a simple look. The pattern inset boots add some funky print and color, and a little bit of stitching or a buckle adds a unique touch.

The Hayden Stitch Boot looks awesome with some colored denim! Also shown is the Sixties Roller Bag.

Post image for Trend Spotting: coloured jeans

Fashion has gone vibrant when it comes to bottoms particulary skinny jeans, we love the rainbow selection and teaming them with simple tees. They brighten up our day.  A trend that grew from the fall 2011 runway shows and got everyone hooked.

It adds a new kind of fun to that Rock N’ Roll skinny jeans vibe. Are you the type of girl who would wear bright coloured jeans?

i just bought the red skinny crop jeans and am having a great time styling them with everything in my closet! My favorite is my brown lace up bikers and a cut out Lacey cream top with a suede vest!! I could wear these jeans every day with something new mixed in. Also so cute with the striped hooked sweater colored red and tan and my bass lace up oxfords. These jeans fit like a glove on my petite 5'2" 115lb frame(27's as they run small)
Christina -Dec 07, 2011, 11:33AM
I really need to get a pair of colored denim. I'm just afraid I won't wear it as much as regular jeans and I want it to be worth the money!
