Lovely interview of a lovely woman. Jen is a true inspiration, and one of the kindest and most caring people I've ever known. Not to mention she makes one supremely decadent brownie! (Gluten free, but you'd never know.) I had the privilege of featuring her on my own blog, sharing her healing powers with my family and now am celebrating this wonderful recognition of her talents here as a friend. Yay, Jen!

Nicole - So wonderful to hear you loved the book as much as I did -- and awesome that he tweeted back! I can't wait to check out HeadSpace, I've heard of it but haven't looked into it yet. Guess it's time!
Nicole -Apr 06, 2016, 2:54PM
I read this book last year and loved it so much I Tweeted Dan Harris right away (I am not a person who Tweets), and I was thrilled when he Tweeted back (it is such a nice medium for sending fan "mail")! Since reading Harris's book I've signed up for HeadSpace.com (they charge a worthwhile fee for guided meditation for people like me who have a wandering mind), and I'm s-l-o-w-l-y improving my practice. It was Harris's words that encouraged the reader to start where they are (even if it means starting again and again) that helped me go forward. THANK YOU for sharing "10% Happier" in your Book Review section. I have gotten some of my favorite recommendations from YOU!

I applied for my Australian working holiday visa a few months after graduating from university, planning to go travelling for around 6 months until I had some idea what I wanted to do with my life. Two and a half years later, I'm still here! For anyone who's interested, I've written several blog posts about how to get yourself to Australia, and what to do when you arrive. A year will absolutely fly by but you'll be amazed how much you can fit in. http://collectingcities.blogspot.com.au/2013/11/working-holiday-pre-departure.html

Ah, I love this post so much! As Sarah said in the comments, so many people say they want to travel, but find an excuse as to why they can't. I love to travel, but I also have a great job that I love. No, I am not making an excuse similar to everyone else...So how do I find the happy medium? I ALWAYS make time to travel. I hold back from shopping, and little purchases such as coffee, happy hour or eating out, and save the money for traveling. Anytime I have a long weekend (Memorial Day, Labor Day, President's Day) I jump on flights! I have found Google Flights always helps me find the best options. It really is easier than you think-even if you work a full time job! Also, ALWAYS use your vacation days! I keep reading more and more about how Americans don't take all of their vacation time- blows my mind. Thanks again for this post! Xx

Hello, Actually after I read this post, I started to consume less plastic bags and I use my cloth bag when I have to do grocery shopping or other shopping. When I have to print some documents at work I use recycled papers. I also recycle my old clothing in the containers that our municipality provided. Hope to see these posts much more! Hugs from Istanbul

hey Jana! I absolutely love your photography and am thinking about traveling to Spain soon. I was wondering if there is a specific edit you used on your photos to make them look the way they do? Im study abroad in Granada next semester but now I'm convinced that I have to check out Andalusia as well. :) Thanks so much! -Laura
