Post image for 3 Brand New Variations Of Avocado Toast

In the world of soul-satisfying, easy to prepare food, nothing compares to avocado toast. Say the two words together — “Avocado. Toast.” — to any number of people and your assertion will likely be met with “ohhs”, “ahhs”, and “oh man, yes” — or some variation of the three. If a toast-based dish could have a cult following, this one would, and for good reason. Read more »

Post image for Decorate With Beach Stones And Make Summer Endless

Rocks aren’t exactly the most convenient thing to collect, but over the years I’ve managed to amass a small congregation of them. Picked up from rivers, streams, and ocean shores, smoothed by thousands of years of elemental exposure, when I find one with an interesting striation or shape, into my pocket it goes, along with small shells and other tokens of the natural world. As part of our August Magalog, we featured some awesome shoe shots from our lovely FP Me users.  With this being the week of all things shoes, today we wanted to share some of the outtakes! My absolute favourite shoes are my cowboy boots - they're Canadian made & they fit me so well. It seems the more I wear them, the better they look - and I love that they're so multipurpose! They're great for when I ride, sure, but they're just as good with a pair of jeans. http://northernrustication.blogspot.com

I love the calf-length boots as I usually find ankle boots a bit too masculine and aggressive for my taste. Although I do love ankle boots with featured cut outs. Warm regards, Alexandra www.littlewildheart.com

So I'm really curious to try this, because my hair is the exact same way! Long, thick, mostly wavy, but also unpredictable. Hopefully I can get it to be more the way I want it with this trick!

Post image for DIY Boot Chains: Dress Up Your Favorite Shoes For Fall

WOW, I love this idea. I had placed a pair of clip on earrings on my flip-flops and then painted the bands with the 'sparkle' nail polish available and they looked so much better!! Pat

I've been meaning to make some leather boot chains with conchos, but I keep putting off my visit to the cowboy shop for supplies. This might give me a push in the right direction. http://www.etsy.com/shop/HypnoticaVintage

This just made me very, very, very homesick for my apartment in Brooklyn. It really is a city that makes you fall in love with its hidden secrets, its shortcomings, and even yourself, and it shaped me in a way that I'll never regret. <3 dani http://blog.shopdisowned.com
